Privacy notice
What this website collects, why, and your rights.
This notice explains how Orero Boys High School handles personal data collected through this website. We process personal data in line with the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya.
What we collect
The only personal data this website collects is what you type into the contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number, optional subject and your message. We also record your network (IP) address briefly to limit spam and repeated submissions.
Why we use it
We use these details to read and reply to your enquiry. We do not use them for marketing and we do not sell or share them with third parties, except the email and hosting services needed to deliver and store your message.
How long we keep it
Messages are kept for as long as needed to answer your enquiry and for the school's administrative records, and are then deleted.
Cookies and third-party services
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. A short-lived technical cookie is set when you open the contact form, to protect it against forged submissions. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and the contact page can show a Google Map; those services may receive your IP address when they load.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you may object to its processing. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Contact
To exercise these rights or ask a question, write to orerohigh@gmail.com or use the contact page.
